Too many people on medium sell articles as "writing advice" when they should really be sold as "writing on medium to make money advice".
The second has some legitimacy — it's valuable to know how to make your writing successful on the platform. But it's not the same as the first.
For example, having a daily writing practice is a good way to discipline yourself and build a habit that can help you knock out long long essays or stories or books.
But "writing" every day with the intention of publishing every day is not going to help you write a book. Probably the opposite, especially if the feeling of obligation starts squashing every bit of creativity you have.
Writing every day is a great way to find some success on medium though. But doing so puts significant restrictions on the form, length and (perhaps) quality of your writing.
It's easy to write a sloppy 1000-word self-absorbed opinion piece every day, but you can't do the same with a well-researched piece on an important and complex topic.
Also, a lot of the every-day, twice-a-day kind of writing is purely self-serving — it's people writing about how to be successful writing on medium who only became successful because all they write about is how to be successful on medium.

The most important piece of writing advice, I think, is: have something worth writing about. That'll get you half the way to good writing.
You've clearly gone further. Thanks for a succinct summary of these pointless pieces of writing advice.
