Such an important thing to account for in taking a job or choosing a career.
We get caught up in labels and grand ideas about "what I will be" rather that "what I will do".
Sometimes ambition is enough to get past whatever daily grind is required. But the reality of a career is very few grand moments of recognition and many more small moments of real work.
If you don't like the daily toil — if you can't imagine yourself doing or enjoying what is daily required — then it's probably not for you.
Great little essay. Captures a lot of the important points in career logic we seem to get wrong.
